The 1771-IL is an analog input module. Eight fully-isolated 1000V differential inputs are available with this module and it has a 16-bit binary over full range resolution. It comes with a channel update of 500 ms/8 channels. It uses a natural binary data format or BCD scaling to +/-9999. It has nominal input voltage ranges of 1-5V DC, 0-5V DC, -5-5V DC, and -10-10V DC. It also has nominal input current ranges of 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA, and -20-20 mA. The backplane current load of this module is 1.3 A.
An input overvoltage protection is present with the 1771-IL module, with a continuous 140V AC RMS for the voltage mode and a continuous 8V DC for the current mode. The module's open circuit detection works in voltage and current modes. For the voltage mode, the open input produces an upscale reading and for the current mode, the open input produces zero reading.
Its linearity and repeatability are both +/- 1 LSB. The voltage accuracy of this module is a typical 0.01% of the full-scale range at 25 ??
